If you're looking to heighten your garden with a taste of the tropics, we can't recommend this Pineapple Lily highly enough! Sturdy spikes packed with lavender-pink puff flowers on short stems are magnificent on their own but add in a fragrance reminiscent of coconuts, and you've got an exotic getaway right in your backyard! Strappy, wavy-edged foliage and tiny cranberry dots sprinkling the stalks provide the perfect finishing touch to this tropical beauty.

Oh, and if you were curious about where the name Pineapple Lily comes from, check out the telltale burst of green leaves crowning each flower spike. Remind you of anything in particular? Perhaps a certain tropical fruit? Easy to grow and drought-resistant once established, the tough stalks of Aloha Lily Leia will last up to 4 weeks in water and are clearly destined for greatness. Enjoy!

They're back!

Bought these last spring and put them in a pot (I'm in Zone 9 btw.) They bloomed in summer and were really lovely, lasting ages. Had a sleep over winter and they are just poking through the soil in the last week! Can't wait to see them again. (Didn't notice any fragrance last year but they were lovely nonetheless.) I'll definitely be getting some more this year.

Update on Aloha Leia

It is now August and I have profuse blooms which I did not expect until next year. The bees love them. A bit disappointed as they have no fragrance I can detect. I have tried at various time of day but no coconut fragrance. If the bees like them who am I to complain. They are cute.

Can't wait for blooms

Got this bulb for the flower and it's fragrance. I had a pleasant surprise they sent me 2 extra bulbs in excellent condition. Planted them pots and they started to kick in and take hold in about 3 weeks. I'm in zone 9 West coast of Florida. Looking forward to buying more plants from this company. They also were responsive to a question I had.
