Red and Green Cybister Amaryllis Quito Bulbs

Amaryllis Quito is an exciting new exotic variety, named for the capital of Ecuador, the native home of many cybister type amaryllis. The slender, recurved cherry-red petals and long, extravagant flirty stamens are characteristic of the cybister or "spider amaryllis" forms. Lime-green highlights complete the look.

Water sparingly after planting (keep soil barely moist), and just slightly increase watering once you see new growth. Amaryllis like to stay on the dry side until they begin to flower.

These exotic amaryllis bulbs make great gifts for adventurous gardeners looking for something unusual.

Exotic Beauty

I had never tried my hand at growing an exotic variety of Amaryllis and it was just as easy as what I have already grown. The bright color and petal formation is what got me. I have a ton of Amaryllis in my collection already, but none with these more delicate looking petals. Very happy with result. Love Easy to Grow Bulbs! Huge bulbs, fair prices (compare to other online retailers) and fast shipping! What more can you ask for?

Thumbs up guys, great job!

Did not get blossom first year, this year things are looking better.

This one started out with promise- bulb was looking good, if a little dried - I kind of wonder if the warehouse was neglected a bit during covid? Anyway, we got good foliage, but no blossom, it rolled over exceptionally quickly even though it was planted in my bulb mix of choice and watered carefully. Since it looked like it was going nowhere, I hit it with a lot of plant food, and nurtured the greenery as long as I could, then drove it into dormancy. The bulb this year is thicker and more vigorous looking, and we have first greenery, so hopefully we'll have blossoms this year!
