Snowy White Lilium Candidum Bulbs For Sale | Madonna Lily

As the single most frequently requested bulb for our customers, we are thrilled to have established a reliable source for the coveted Lilium Candidum. Also known as the Madonna Lily, this heirloom cultivar exhibits elegant, pure white flowers with an intoxicating aroma that only furthers the allure of this sensational variety.

While its exquisite fragrance is primarily what keeps gardeners coming back for more, Lilium Candidum is also cherished for its lovely basal leaves that remain attractive through the winter. The graceful blooms arrive in early summer and favor enriched, well-drained soil with a bit of protection from direct sun during the heat of the day.

We planned it in October and because of unseasonably warm weather it has already pushed through the ground...hoping it will do well for us in Central Pa

Received my bulbs two years ago. The first year had only a few flowers. This year had many beautiful flowers and one plant grew over six feet tall with 18 blooms on a single stem! I never knew Madonnas grew that tall, as I've only seen 3-4 foot tall plants before. Anyway, I'm very happy with my purchase and hope to enjoy these for many years to come.

Big bulb.

Finally, surprise, surprise

Two years ago I ordered three Madonna Lily bulbs. They were very difficult to find at that time and they still are. My bulbs arrived id the middle of winter but they were in good condition. The ground was workable so I planted them. The first Spring and Summer nothing happened. No Lilies! I assumed the bulbs were no longer alive. The second spring guess what? Yes, they came up and, as I write this, one is about six feet tall and full of buds. Today is June 6th and no flowers yet however I expect to see bloom within the next few days. I can't wait! Over the years I have raised many variety's of Lilies but nothing to compare with the Madonna Lily. This lily is totally different than anything you have ever raised. Maybe the fact that it is over three thousand years old has something to do with it.
