Concentrated plum burgundy covers the ruffled falls and upright standards of this lovely iris, a two time winner of American Iris Society awards. Plant in groups of 6 or more for greatest impact and consider siting with white flowering partners to accentuate the contrast. Flowers in spring in cold weather climates and reblooms in fall in warm region gardens. Deer resistant.
Transplant to garden with top 1/4th of the rhizome above ground level in drier climates, top 1/2 where rain is more plentiful.
