Light Yellow Peruvian Lily Plants For Sale | Alstroemeria Inca Sundance

Sundance is a well fitting name for these buttery yellow, trumpet-shaped blossoms with bright banana strokes, charming magenta whiskers and coral capes.

This mound-forming, tuberous perennial is perfect for borders, small gardens and is excellent in containers! Grow her in a partial sunny spot with fertile, evenly moist, well-draining soil and you won't be sorry you did! Be careful, dry soil induces dormancy and reduces flowering vigor. Deadhead spent flowers as needed or bring flowers inside to take advantage of their long vase life as cut flowers. In early Spring, trim back or gently pull out old tuberous stems to encourage new growth and better flowering.

Are you lucky enough to have A/C? Do you keep your home temperate year-round? These compact Alstroemeria may be the most spectacular houseplant for you! As long as nobody has allergies to pollen of course.

Alstroemeria are true Goldilocks plants, they don't like it too hot nor too cold. They are native to the Andes mountain region of South America, where it stays cool/temperate year-round. Ideal temperatures are 50-65 F but they can withstand intermittent hot days up to 75 F with afternoon shade and a little TLC. Frost will kill unprotected leaves and roots.

Leaves are beautiful

I was able to bring these in and they survived the winter. Had them in a sunny window. They didn't bloom. I think that I kept them too dry. The moisture beads on the leaves and they are beautiful. I'm going to try to push it out of dormancy. Only had a few flowers first year, but they had been potted late in the season. Delicate plant

In a Sundance blooms are so delicate and beautiful

I planted two Inca Sundance alongside three other Alstromerias. The Lillian took off first, and bloomed, and the blooms were quickly eaten by deer. So I took all five plants out of the ground, put them in pots, and moved them inside my vegetable garden for deer protection. Of the five plants, Sundance made the most lush leaves. Sad to say, waiting for the blooms on one of the two plants. The other is blooming, now in a window in the garage for cold protection. I am hoping next year to have them in the vegetable garden early to see if I can reap more rewards.
