Perfect shade

For my garden, hyacinths can tend to be almost on the edge of too showy in their traditional vibrant colors. Not this beauty! It stands out in spring but works nicely with other predominant shades. I planted them last year and when they came up strong this year I couldn’t have been happier. I’m going to add a little more this year and that might become an annual task, they’re that pretty.

Enchanting

I planted these in my warm climate zone 9 garden several years ago, and every February since, they magically reappear; what a surprise -- I never expected these deliciously fragrant, happy, coral-colored blooms to naturalize!
