Description

Description: Go big or go home with the Chrysanthemum Mammoth™ 'Coral Daisy'. Developed by the University of Minnesota specifically for northern climates, the Mammoth™ series is the "shrub" of the mum world. Unlike traditional garden mums that stay in small, tight balls, 'Coral Daisy' grows into a massive, mounded hedge that can reach up to 3 or 4 feet wide in its second or third year.

True to its name, this variety produces a sea of daisy-like blooms in a stunning shade of warm, soft coral-pink with bright golden-yellow centers. As a "perennial mum," it is bred to survive the harshest winters and return year after year, reliably doubling in size and flower count each season. It is a true late-season powerhouse, providing a massive burst of color just as the rest of the garden begins to prepare for winter.

Quick Facts:
  • Foliage: Deep green, lobed leaves that form a dense, structural mound even before the blooms appear.
  • Flowers: Single, daisy-style petals in glowing coral with a prominent yellow eye.
  • Light: Full Sun (6+ hours). Bright light is essential for the plant to achieve its "mammoth" size and produce maximum blooms.
  • Growth Habit: Extremely vigorous and mounded; matures at 2-3 feet tall and 3-4 feet wide.
  • Hardiness: Exceptionally cold-hardy; USDA Zones 3-9.
  • Landscape Use: Best used as a focal point, a flowering low hedge, or at the back of a large perennial border. Because of its massive spread, it is not recommended for small containers.
