Description

Hosta Plants For Sale | Guacamole (fragrant)

Introducing the American Hosta Grower's Association 'Hosta of the Year' for 2002, Guacamole! As the name suggests, this hosta boasts huge, lustrous apple green leaves with dark green margins reminiscent of an avocado.

Besides being highly tolerant of the sun and a rapid grower, Hosta Guacamole produces strongly aromatic, flared lavender blooms on striking 36" stems in late summer. As the fragrant flowers arrive, the leaves become a brighter gold color while the margins remain dark green, making this variety a sure winner in your garden!

Only the rabbits like them better.

Arrived in good condition, planted and grew fine. Bought them previously from easy to grow. Nice plants once established. Just need to find a way to stop the rabbits using them as a salad bar.

Guacamole surprise

Was skeptical when root arrived but they leafed out beautifully. Such a nice leaf. Subtle coloring of green and yellow. I’m hoping the flower will be fragrant. I’m growing it in a pot so I can move it when it gets really sunny here. SW Florida zone 8/9.
