Gorgeous Italian Anemone Bulbs for Sale | Mistral Plus Bicolore

To state the obvious, this two-toned Mistral Anemone is positively breathtaking! These exquisite bloomers were recently imported from Italy, where they're intentionally bred for success in garden beds or patio pots. Plus, they reliably bloom earlier and more profusely than other types!

Around early to mid-spring, your garden will come to life with an abundance of white and red flowers accented by striking black centers. The single blossoms pop open atop slender, 8 to 12" tall stems over mounds of fern-like foliage. Encourage even more buds and longer stems by cutting the blooms for stunning arrangements that last up to 2 weeks. Enjoy!

Shipped way too late, but 9 months later, they are GORGEOUS

I was disappointed that I received these in the late spring, since I ordered them in mid-February and Easy to Grow had claimed that they would ship the bulbs to arrive during the recommended planting time (they arrived at the end of May, which is way later than I should have planted them here in zone 7b). I ended up planting them anyway around June 1st. Low and behold, they started sprouting in October, and finally bloomed in the first week of March! It was a looooong time with just lots of foliage. I covered them with frost cover during our couple of very cold nights, but it was overall a mild winter here with probably fewer than 10 nights at freezing or below. The blossoms have a unique way of emerging from the ground nearly fully formed and then growing tall and strong and opening up within just a few days. The stalks were literally growing 1+ inches per day after emerging, it was wild. The blossoms have been even more beautiful than the website photos. I harvested 3 blooms in the first week, and have 5 more that I should be able to harvest in the next week. Not sure if more will follow, but I hope so!
