Watsonia Aletroides

We are happy to bring you this terrific species Watsonia from South Africa. Very different than its borbonica cousins, flowers are tubular with turned back edges. Maybe not as showy in the singular, but each stem unfurls masses of them. Bright green sword like leaves make an attractive collection. What can be appreciated best is the color! It can best be described as somewhere between deep coral and shrimp pink; simply fantastic. What we like even better is that it only grows 3' tall, making it much more usable for the mid-border or smaller gardens. We find that it's also quite suitable for larger containers as well. What's not to love?
