Not unlike grape hyacinths in form but in bright African colors! Lachenalia Rosabeth has hot pink tubular bells with chartreusse tips and distictive spotted leaves. Excellent planted with succulents in the garden and superb in containers. Be sure to plant in an area with good drainage; while sandy soil is preferred, Lachenalia do thrive in dry, clay soils in full sun. Blooming in late winter to early spring, they add color to the garden at a time most plants are still sleeping. Small in scale but they pack a real visual punch.
