Small scale but pack a real visual punch. Not unlike grape hyacinths in form but in bright African colors! Lachenalia pustulata has lavender-purple fat bells. What makes it truly unusual is the raised bumps on the foliage; a Weird & Wonderful bulb by any measure. Excellent planted with succulents in the garden and superb in containers. Needs good drainage and prefers sandy soil but thrives in our clay planted in full sun. Blooming in late winter, they add color to the garden at a low season.
