Small scale but pack a real visual punch. Not unlike grape hyacinths in form but in bright African colors! Lachenalia aloides has yellow tubular bells with bright red tips. Excellent planted with succulents in the garden and superb in containers. Be sure to plant in an area with good drainage and prefers sandy soil but thrives in our Ca clay planted in full sun. Blooming in late winter, they add color to the garden at a typically low point in the season.
