While Galanthus woronowii is a real mouthful, "green snowdrop", the common name for this variety is easier to say and remember. This nickname was derived from the foliage of this snowdrop, with is wide, waxy green and fresh looking against the often still present snow. Popular because of its darling pearl drop flowers, this cultivar wins bonus points because it naturalizes well, even in dry settings, so that in a few years you'll have bulbs to move to the other side of the yard or to share with a neighbor. Native to Turkey and north into Russia, this snowdrop adapts well to a variety of settings and soils. Mix in dappled shade with scillas, anemones and trout lilies (erythronium). Deer resistant.
