Evening Primrose (Oenothera)
Although these cheerful blooms go by many names, Evening Primrose is characterized by a unique habit of only showing its fragrant flowers later in the day. Spectacular bowl-shaped, four-petaled blossoms in yellow, white, and pink arrive in vigorous abundance throughout the summer. They typically reach up to 10" tall on sturdy, purple-tinged stems, allowing them to rise above the lustrous, deep green foliage.
The low and trailing growth pattern of Evening Primrose makes it perfect for creating a dazzling display of color in front of a mixed garden bed or as a groundcover. These showstopping stunners are very long-blooming and low-maintenance, so you can just sit back and enjoy the view!
