Warm weather gardeners with dry summers, calochortus was created for you! Resembling wide tulip flowers with showy, 3" upturned cups, mariposa lily blooms are accented with dark contrasting splotches at the base of each petal. The grass-like silvery green foliage and willowy form are ideal for filling in between fuller plants. These blossoms are long lasting additions to early summer arrangements where their slender, but strong, stems slip easily into narrow necked vases. Note: these bulbs are cultivated, not collected from the wild.
