Detailed Description

Felix Crousse is a brilliant carmine red peony that displays petals touched with silver, a color combination that can be seen and savored from across the garden. This late bloomer extends the peony flowering season for both landscape and cut flowers and has been widely grown since its introduction in 1881. As a point of reference, Thomas Edison invented the light bulb just two years before Felix Crousse was first presented to the gardening public. That was a long time ago and the fact that this variety is still grown speaks volumes. Large, fully double, casual blooms may need support in wet weather. Deer resistant.
