Lilies

Many believe that a garden without lilies is incomplete.  We're inclined to agree. Lilies offer fragrance, intricate flower forms, radiant colors and toughness - the whole wonderful package. They're just too terrific to pass up.

Growing your own florist quality bouquets is easy with lilies. Few experiences can match the pleasure of taking a sharp paring knife out to the garden for a choice stem or two and discovering that the first glorious lily of the season is in bloom.

For early summer color that spans the gamet from popsicle shades to deep tones, think Asiatics and LA (Longaflora) Hybrids. Later season exotic forms and intoxicating fragrances come courtesy of Orientals and Orienpets (Oriental x Trumpet crosses). Your garden will benefit from some of each.
