Tuberous Begonias

The begonia family is a large and varied one, with members originating in China, India, South Africa and South America. Our varieties are the world's premiere begonias, AmeriHybrids, developed and grown right here in California.

Tuberous begonias lend a sumptuous air to gardens, with blooms so full and lush they appear almost artificial.  Don't be fooled into believing that this means begonias are challenging to grow - nothing could be further from the truth. Ideal for spots with light to medium shade, tuberous begonia flower colors are rich and complex, a feast for the eyes.  Plant in next to the patio chair where you relax, then savor the incredible season-long show!

Note: tuberous begonias prefer nights with moderate temperatures and sulk in the hottest, most humid parts of the deep South.

Tuberous begonias ship from late February through June. If you plan to start your begonias indoors and would like them shipped early, just let us know that when you place your order.
