Dutch Iris
Dutch irises produce bright showy flowers, with slim orchid-like petals, each accented by a complimentary color splotch. Florists across the country love the saturated hues and sturdy stems of these flowers, and use them arrangements year round. You can easily grow your own cutting stock or enjoy carefree Dutch iris in your garden. These flowers are excellent bridges between the last spring bloomers and the early summer roses and daylilies. Include them along with alliums to ensure that there aren't any flower-free weeks next April or May.
Plant Dutch iris in groups for the best effect: singly their willowy forms blend in and lose impact. Be sure to put in big bulbs for the most floriferous displays. (Our pricing makes it possible to add five groups of a dozen each for about what a movie and popcorn for two costs.)
Note: prices below are for bags of 20 bulbs, all in the largest commercially available sizes.
Shipping: Fresh bulbs are shipped from mid September through December for immediate planting.
