Backyard Fruits, Herbs & Spices

As of late, the produce departments in most grocery stores have gotten more interesting with unusual tropical fruits, intriguing vegetables and some items that fall into who-knows-what group. This is fun stuff!

More exciting still, however, is the possibility of having your own patch that produces ingredients for favorite recipes or simply delivers sun warmed fruits to pick and savor as the juice dribbles down your chin. Here's to being able to say "Oh yeah, that's my mom's pie recipe, but I grew the berries out back."

And then there's the mouthwatering option of having fresh citrus to eat for breakfast. Very cool, indeed.
