Citrus Trees
Citrus are subtropical trees that originated in southeast Asia and have been bred for flavor, fruit and tree size, seedless flesh and easily removed peels for thousands of years. With more than 1,500 varieties of oranges, lemons, limes, grapefruit, kumquats and less known fruits, the choices are close to endless. We've trimmed the list to a handful of dependable producers that have proven their worth.
Whether you're growing your trees indoors or out in a warm, sunny yard, you'll enjoy having delicious citrus fruits for juicing, out of hand eating, bartending and cooking, baking and grilling. With the amazing selection of recipes now easily found online, having fresh ingredients - and nothing's fresher than home grown - is more appealing than ever.
Ah, and did we mention that the scent of citrus blossoms is nothing short of wonderful? It's just terrific, indoors or outside.
Cultivar note: citrus trees frequently fuss when moved, whether that move is from outside to in the house, or across the country as when they are shipped to you. Significant leaf drop sometimes occurs, but don't be concerned. Fresh green leaves resprout quickly and the trees recover fully.
Shipping note: The USDA regulations prohibit us from shipping to the following areas: Florida, Texas, Arizona and northern California (north of Ventura County.) Our apologies.
