Scilla (Squill)
Originating in the meadows and woodlands in Europe, Africa and Asia, scillas are intriguing landscape elements prized for their bell- and star-shaped flowers in many shades of blue. They are excellent partners for yellow or white daffodils, anemones and other spring bloomers.
Smaller scilla varieties naturalize readily where happy, while the larger ones form sizeable clumps. These are all good garden investments, expanding over time like a good money market account. And as an added benefit, scilla are disliked by deer and rodents, which, of course, makes them even more effortless to enjoy.
Shipping: Freshly harvested scilla bulbs are shipped mid September through December for immediate planting.
