East Friesland is a select salvia cultivar bred for compact form, purple stems, richly colored spiky flower stalks and aromatic foliage. This sturdy garden perennial delivers a long period of bloom when provided with sufficient moisture, making it an excellent addition to cottage gardens, butterfly gardens and wild plantings. A sterile variety, that won't self seed, so there will be no need to weed out offspring of questionable desirability. Deer, elk and rabbit resistant.
