Baja is a showy daylily, with sunfast blood red petals (many red daylilies bleach or "slick" in full sun) and a contrasting yellow green throat. This is a tetrapoid variety, which means that it's been breed for extra strong stems and flowers, and high bud counts. Baja's velvety textured flowers are produce early to mid summer, and then to enhance late season dahlias and oriental lilies, rebloom again later. Big 6" blossoms, a trio of American Hemerocallis (daylily) Society awards and the tough constitution that daylilies can be counted on the exhibit - this plant is a find.
