Clematis Ville de Lyon

Ville de Lyon is a widely grown, perennially popular clematis with a very long blooming period. Bright cherry red flowers with a full, rounded shape are set off by a spiky array of anthers that look a bit like the kid next door's hair (on a good day.) Excellent grown through large shrubs or in a perennial bed where the bottom few feet can be enrobed by leafy companions as the foliage on the lower portion of Ville de Lyon is sometimes sparse.
