Sometimes shady gardens need a shot of bright color to wake them up and this raspberry pink astilbe fills the bill beautifully. Red stems hold triangular plumes of tiny fluffy flowers for weeks, from mid to late summer. Kelly green foliage is lobed, with serrated edges and provides an open frame for the blossoms. This perennial continues to grow and fill out, becoming more impressive as it reaches maturity at three years old. Long lived. Happiest with moderate to generous amounts of water. Rabbit and deer resistant.
